Counselling in the Comox Valley
Counselling Services in the Comox Valley
Whatever brought you here—anxiety that won’t settle, a loss you’re carrying, a relationship that feels stuck, or a season of life you can’t quite name—you don’t have to sort it out alone. This page gathers everything I can help with, all in one place.
Start wherever you are.
You don’t need the right words or a tidy explanation before you reach out. Most people who come to counselling aren’t sure exactly what’s wrong—they just know life feels heavier than it used to, and they’re ready for something to change. If one of the areas below sounds like your life right now, follow it. And if nothing quite fits, that’s okay too—a free consultation is a good place to figure it out together.

How sessions work
I see individuals aged 10 and up—young people, teens, and adults. We can meet in person at Comox Valley Counselling in Courtenay, or virtually and by phone anywhere in British Columbia. Some clients prefer the quiet of the counselling room; others find it easier to talk from their own kitchen table. There’s no wrong way to do this.
Everything starts with a free consultation—a short, no-pressure conversation to meet each other, ask questions, and see whether we’re a good fit. Booking is handled securely online through Comox Valley Counselling’s Jane system, so you can choose a time that works for you without any phone tag.

Questions people often ask
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. A free consultation is a short, no-pressure conversation where we can meet, you can ask questions, and we can see whether working together feels like a good fit. There’s no obligation to continue afterward—it’s simply a chance to get a feel for each other before you decide.

Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. Alongside in-person sessions at Comox Valley Counselling in Courtenay, I offer virtual and phone sessions to clients anywhere in British Columbia. Many people find that meeting from their own home makes it easier to open up—and easier to fit counselling into a full life.
Who do you work with?
I work with individuals aged 10 and up—young people, teens, and adults. People come to me with anxiety, burnout, depression, grief, relationship struggles, reproductive mental health concerns, ADHD, adoption-related questions, and the seasons of life that are harder to name.
What is a first session like?
Unhurried. A first session is mostly about getting to know each other—what’s bringing you in, what life looks like right now, and what you’re hoping might change. There’s nothing you need to prepare or perform. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
